Uneven surfaces and holes!

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 17:42, Sun 24 March 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5760031.

Hill between Guestling primary school and White Hart Beefeater is in poor condition, dangerous in some places.

Heading up to the beefeater from the primary school where the hill briefly goes into 2 lanes from one has 2 holes and various lumps and bumps causing a hazard as cars are avoiding them and if they’re hit they affect the direction of wheels which if this leads to a blow out/wheel or suspension damage an accident could happen.

Heading down the hill from the beefeater to the school there’s a severely deteriorated patch of road at the bottom of the hill (next to the big ‘30’ sign) just before the primary school, even when taking the condition or this patch in consideration and driving over it at 20mph my car still clatters over this patch.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report about the road surface and potholes.

We're aware of surface defects in this area and are currently arranging 'patching' resurfacing works to address. We can't offer a date at this time as we're awaiting on roadspace approval for the works to be carried out under suitable traffic management by way of road closures.

In the meantime we continue to monitor when any safety defects will be raised for temporary repairs.

    Kind regards
