Road surface falling away/breaking up exposing wide pothole

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 15:51, Monday 18 March 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5730734.

A section (5m) of the road surface seems to have been repaired within the last 5 years, however it's now beginning to break up exposing a pot hole abut 2" deep, 3ft long and 2ft wide. It could easily dismount a motorcyclist. My "complaint" is as heavy trucks go over it they cause a mini earth quake which shakes my house which is about 50 yards away. So I get the house shake at anytime, it often causes me to wake up. It's the potential for building damage that is a concern. It's been like this for about a year. Also notice (probably not your fix) the road signs that have two posts, one post has rusted away 98% and possibly could fall into the highway at anytime, we do get stong wind gusts here.
