Damaged fence allowing access to disused bridge over M271

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 18:47, Monday 11 March 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5698245.

The black fencing which prevents access to the disused footbridge across the M271 is broken with 1 metal panel missing therefore creating a gap and access to the bridge. It is unknown how long this has been like this. Police were called this afternoon to children throwing stones off the bridge into the traffic below. This route to the bridge was accessed by walking the dirt footpath between Studland Road Allotments and Flanders Field Close off Studland Road, Southampton.
