Poor Repair now causing new dip in road

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 11:47, Monday 11 March 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5695444.

The road immediately after the black section of tarmac was repaired last year due to a segment of the road sinking. The new repair, covering over that section, has now caused an uneven surface in the road where there is a sharp dip followed by a sudden increase (the repair). This should have been identified during that repair and addressed but wasn't. The problem is particularly evident (and a concern) on a motorcycle but can also clearly be experienced in a car, causing a sharp jolt down and then up when travelling over it. Please smooth out the two sections, as should have originally been done to make this safe. The contractor should be informed that their poor repair has caused a new dip on a fast moving road.
