Large blue sheet at top of SOS lay-by North bound between j39-j40 could blow into motorway and cause a accident, road workers been parked there 3 nights this week doing road sweeping etc and nobody's moved it, also it would been nice if some could pick all the litter up on the rest of banking opposite the flats we look out if our windows and it looks a mess. Thank you for contacting us via FixMyStreet to report debris on the banking of the M1. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to contact us.
We can confirm that we've arranged for our contractors to remove the tarpaulin, this should be carried out within 24 hours.
In regard to the litter clearance on the banking, we’ve no scheduled sweeps until August/September 2024. However, we will now look at arranging for an additional clearance in the area as soon as possible.
