Several Potholes
Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 14:12, Fri 8 March 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5686396.
There are several potholes along the M48 On the road in the direction of Chepstow. This has been the case for quite some time and I am witnessing on my daily commute people having to swerve on several occasions including myself to prevent any damage to cars from driving over them. Please could you advise when this road will be repaired/resurfaced? Thank you

Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning potholes.
The Bridge Manager completed an inspection of both carriageway’s last week and carried out some repairs that Wednesday. The carriageway is also inspected daily.
He’s not aware of any potholes that require attention, at the moment, but did notice a few locations that appear to be breaking up but were quite sound. We’re looking to resurface the Severn Bridge in 2025/26 barring any unforeseen circumstances. A meeting is due to be held to discuss the management of the carriageway between now and the resurfacing scheme.
If you require any further information please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or info@nationalhighways.co.uk
