Overly large tree

Since moving into this property in 2020 we have had concerned about the conifer type tree bordering the bottom corner of our garden. During bad weather it is prone to losing branches which we have endeavored to tidy up and keep in check. We have had to remove some lower branches as it was damaging our fence. The tree partially covers the street lighting outside. I had approached my local council by they informed me the tree was the responsibility of national highways.

  • The tree is showing areas of disease and continues to lose branches onto the road. It also continues to grow and encroach on street lighting.
