There are areas of spalling concrete above the Railway Trackside face of Upside (left hand side facing London) pier, mid-point, top edge. Please contact Network Rail's Outside Party Team on [email removed] to arrange access for repairs before any loose concrete falls off onto the railway tracks! We have been able to verify how secure this loose pieces of concrete are, hence, please try to ensure you inspect and verify this to get a clear understanding of the urgency! Thank you.

  • Thank you for your report.

A Principal Inspection of the A21 Medway Viaducts was carried out in October 2023. The railway spans specifically were inspected on the 23rd and 24th October 2023 specifically.

The defects in question were noted during the inspection. They were checked for any loose material by hammer tapping, but no loose material was identified. This will of course be reviewed at our subsequent inspections of the structures.

    Kind regards
