Sensor/ANPR Camera cable disconnected and damaged

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 10:32, Wednesday 6 March 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5675505.

Black cable believed to be connected to a Pips Technology sensor/ANPR camera on the Cuckoo Trail footbridge above the eastbound carriageway of the A27 Polegate By Pass has disconnected and is damaged.

It was initially dangling over the carriageway at HGV height and it has been lifted and has been moved so it is not a risk to vehicles or within reach of pedestrians as the end cable is exposed and it is unknown if this is live or not.
