Manhole cover broken / NOISE
Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 13:30, Tue 5 March 2024
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5671445.
This cover was replaced by yourselves couple weeks ago when you resurfaced the roads here. How can you lay the blame on Southern water for the mistake you have made ? You moved the manhole , I suggest you repair it asap as its getting worse and its right in middle of traffic flow. Your the ones who will get sued when the accident happens.

I can confirm this is getting louder and it’s only a matter of time before it causes an accident. It bouncing out over an inch every time a wheel of a vehicle goes over it. You only need to be near it for a few seconds before you can hear it as it’s n the direct line vehicles are taking.

We [ the residents ] may have to try remove the cover our selves and re- seat it .

Thank you for your report.
This has been raised with Southern Water directly under reference 4649214 as this is a Southern Water asset. We'll also looking to conduct further work to rectify a pavement joint outside/near the Denbigh following our resurfacing. We're planning to return as soon as possible once we are able to obtain the necessary authorisation to carry out work.
Kind Regards
National Highways
