Potholes and noise. patched up work.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5664875.

The road sevice north and south at Bowburn is very noisy seems we are nearly down to the cables underneath the tarmac.allthough the hard shoulders are very quiet as they were just recently done. We were promised the surface would be relaid just before covid came alone.How long must we wait.

  • Thank you for your email of 4 March 2024 about the condition of the road surface of the A1M near Bowburn.

    We've checked and can confirm a patching scheme on the A1M junction 61 to 62 is due to begin in April 2024. This should address the issue and reduce the noise you are experiencing.
