Left over and broken signs

Reported via desktop in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 16:47, Thursday 29 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5650266.

I have reported these broken signs and old ones (now at least 5 A frames lying on nearby verges, but you keep closing the cases. Why? I don’t understand the system, and I dont understand why an update I supply is not passed to National Highways. What does happen to these updates? I do think that littering the verges with leftover and broken signs invites others to drop all manner of litter, which is then costly to clear up.
