A34 underpass (foot access) Flooded to waist height

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 11:13, Monday 26 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5631951.

Underpass has been flooded for a number of weeks. Height relative to lamp posts shows the depth to be at least waist high (as seen from the Chilton Village side of the underpass). This is therefore dangerous. Photos can be provided if needed.

Updates

  • This is an urgent request to get the flooded underpass drained as it has now become very dangerous. It is adjacent to Chilton Primary School and when clear of water is a regular walking route to school

  • This is also the evacuation route for the school, should it ever be needed. The current depth of the water is 3-4ft and it is still rising each time it rains. Please can the drains be pumped.
