Roadwork signs obstructing the foot/cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath issue (NH) category anonymously at 21:02, Tuesday 20 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5607161.

Road work signs and temporary traffic lights for the roadworks on the interchange have been placed on the path alongside the on/off ramps for the A34 Northbound. These form dangerous obstructions to cyclists, in terms of obscuring visibility and as physical obstacles. Particularly dangerous for cyclist travelling south is that the signs are unlit, and nearly invisible against the headlights from oncoming traffic. Traffic from the interchange mounting the verges have displaced substantial amounts of mud onto the path, forcing cyclists onto a collision course with the signs.
