M3 London Bound A322 -Slip Road onto M3 Motorway 3rd Gangway Camera Fashing at 70mph

Reported via desktop in the Electronic Sign (NH) category anonymously at 16:27, Tue 20 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5605940.

As i joined the M3 from Brackell on the A322, no signs to indicate any variable speed limits or reductionsin speed to 60mph .

I joined the motorway and built up to 70mph moving aproximately 3-4pm 15th Feb ans stayed into Lane 2. Traffic was even flowing faster then me No signs overhead as i past Gangway 1 or 2, then Gangway 3 a flashed beamed across my lane. As i checked my speedo it showed 70mph. I continued driving towards Chertsey and as i approached the M25, Each of the 5 Gangways before hitting heathrow ,overhead red circles with a 60 mph shone brightyl This prompted me to contact the hirways agency by phone and the lady informed me many people had been flashed by that camera. I am very concerned and would like you to investigate the matter of signage and the flashing . ps The M3 has varying speed limit signs why not in this section and was this camera caliberated to 70mph or 60mph. why was i flashed, kind regards Joseph
