M20 Jct 11A sliproad litter Grade D or worse

Litter and uncleared debris along slip road verges at Jct 11A M20 is at grade D or worse. They are some of the worst littered slip roads on the entire network. This is the first and last thing that international visitors see as they arrive and depart from the UK via the Channel Tunnel car transporter.....why are these verges being consistently overlooked during any main M20 cleaning cycles? It is years and years of litter, not months or weeks...

Littering by people is, unfortunately, a behaviour that has a big impact on some parts of our roads. We aim to keep our roads as tidy and free of litter as we can. Our litter picking is carefully planned to try to minimise the impact it has on road users and the safety of our people. Litter picks often require lane closures, which are disruptive to traffic flow. To help reduce the frequency of this disruption, where we can, we usually combine our reactive litter picks with other maintenance work which can result in what appears to be a delayed response.
At present we can confirm the eastbound exit slip to the Eurotunnel has been cleared. The also is a job raised to clear the westbound slip expected to take place within the next 28 days.
