On the pavement up from Botley Rd heading N alongside the school and up onto the roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 20:27, Monday 12 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5568518.

On the footpath from the Botley Rd alongside the school hedge there are piles of leaves and lots of washed off soil/clay making the path very slippy in wet weather and very hard in the dark. Further up towards the roundabout there are overgrown hedge plants on the left as the path kinks and goes close alongside the sliproad. Once you get round the corner towards the pedestrian crossing for the A420 there is mud covering almost all of the tarmac path which is extremely slippy right now and hard to use for cycling. I keep slipping and very hard to navigate in the dark. The verge is basically all displaced onto the tarmac path by lorries during the contractors work on the roundabout since way back before Christmas. Please get this fixed by the contractors while they are there. Today I stopped to chat with two contractor staff but they were not prepared to commit about whether it was their responsibility or not. But this issue needs fixing after having been a problem for at least 3 months. I've tried to report it before but so far no one has responded.
