Dead fox central reservation

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5556415.

The case was closed yet the fox was still there as of 4pm today 9/2/24. It’s been there over a week. Westbound carriageway on the right hand side (next to central reservation). The animal is now decaying and in full sight of all road users. Just before the road crosses the river.

Safety is our highest priority and any animals on the carriage way that pose a risk to vehicles and their occupants will be removed as quickly and safely as possible. Wild animals, lying off the carriageway, on verges or the central reservation, are normally left to naturally decay unless they are a particular hazard, a danger to public health or there is a statutory obligation for testing or removal.
