The traffic lights are turned off at busy times of the day for some reason.

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:40, Friday 9 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5555901.

The traffic lights are off at busy times of the day but this means when leaving the M5 at junction 14 northbound you then have to ease out slowly to try and turn right. I was hit by a car coming from tortworth direction 2 weeks ago. There are very faded road markings, you can only see if traffic coming by using the creep and peak method which is very dangerous especially when it is dark and wet conditions. I asked a police officer if there is anything I could have done differently and they said use the creep and peak method. It is only possible to see clearly by peaking out into the traffic while also watching traffic on the other side of the road. Extremely dangerous
