Mud on pedestrian pavement - run-off from field

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 23:58, Thu 8 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5551459.

Mud and silt runs off from the neighbouring field on a regular basis, making the footpath muddy and slippery, a hazard for pedestrians. Can National Highways contact the landowner and require them to take measures to stop the mud. Also a local business has an agreement with National Highways to maintain the area - they may be able to help address this problem.

Updates

  • This problem is bad as for 2 months now we are forced onto walking along the actual tarmac of the A30 MAIN ROAD so literally 2 ft. from lorries flying past us.
