No sign at dangerous junction- accident waiting to happen!

Reported via mobile in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 23:21, Tuesday 6 February 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5541178.

There is no visible sign on this junction (from the Ford-Wattlesborough rd, heading towards Stoney Stretton). This evening I had to travel this way home to Yockleton, as all other routes back to my house were flooded. I know this rd and junction well, so I knew roughly where to expect it, but even so, in the pitch black, wet, and stormy conditions, it alarmed me that I couldn’t see the junction, even when I knew to expect it. On a fast moving rd, and with my young daughter in the car, it felt so dangerous and treacherous, as people won’t slow down along there to let vehicles find the junction, or head into the junction The rd markings are absolutely shocking, and there needs to be a sign to ensure that people travelling around the long bend near the Windmill Pub, know to expect the Stoney Stretton rd junction. I ended up missing the junction heading in both directions, as there were cars close up behind me and I didn’t feel safe slowing down further to try and see the junction. Please can you attend to this area and ensure it’s better signposted and marked. Thank you.
