Left hand lane - road surface breaking up.

Road surface has deteriorated. This has been happening since Christmas. Very rough going over this area.

  • Nearside lane is very heavily deteriorated in several areas near here. This is causing vehicles to swerve / switch lanes to avoid the potholes. It presents a hazard to motorcycles, particularly in hours of darkness where the damaged surface may not been seen until it is too late to avoid it. It has potential to cause vehicle damage (suspension / wheels / tyres). This is an accident waiting to happen and either needs repairing urgently or a temporary speed restriction added to prevent damage / accidents until the repair can take place. The suggestion above that the damage has been inspected and is "below tolerance levels" is astonishingly concerning.
