Large amounts of litter roundabout Cuxton. Large amounts of litter alongside motorway from Hoath way Gillingham Hempstead valley turn off. Rubbish for over six months. Rubbish has been increasing since summer 2023

  • Thank you for your report. I can confirm we have outstanding jobs to clear the litter and debris at the A228 junction with the M2, however, unfortunately, we’re unable to obtain the necessary approval to close or implement any suitable diversions to carry out our work at this location. This is due to ongoing road projects along our network and Kent County Council’s (KCC) roads which impact sections of the required diversion route to direct traffic back to the A228.

    At present, we don’t expect work to take place at this junction until later this year.
