Traffic lights not working

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 19:21, Tuesday 30 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5512361.

For the last 2-3 days the lights on one side of the M6 J14 roundabout have not been working, causing serious queues & risk of backing up onto the M6.

Updates

  • Whilst these traffic lights are now working, they have been incorrectly set. The lights that release traffic from the north bound M6 are green when the lights leading on the A34 into Stafford are on red. This is causing the island to become backed up, and it is causing a 2 mile tailback all the way to Great Bridgeford in the morning. Whe the M6 Northbound traffic lights are on green, the lights leading onto the road with the Landrover garage should also be green, allowing for traffic flow. I have witnessed 3 accidents since these lights have been incorrectly set.
