Majority of lighting not working.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5509336.

Avonmouth bridge footpath approximately 90% of lights not working. It is almost impossible to see with the glare of car lights in your eyes and this is a serious safety concern when bicycles & pedestrians are sharing the same space.

There are reports of this not working dating back to 08/08/2023 and no action has yet been taken.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning the street lights. We've a scheme to renew the lights along the Avonmouth Bridge which, barring any unforeseen circumstances is due to take place before the summer 2024. We're currently conducting surveys to ensure that the existing lighting columns are structurally sound.
