Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5490644.
I would like to report the disgraceful and embarrassing state of the A404 running from Pinkneys green Thicket roundabout to Bisham roundabout. This section of the road is quite frankly at a third world level. There is filth and plastic in every shape and form littering the grass verges, bushes and hanging from the trees. I am appalled at the state and rapid demise of our local environment and the way that as a society we are accepting this kind of anti-social behaviour as the norm. Surely, properly and accurately placed cameras can be used to capture offenders and then proper deterring fines issued. I appreciate that council budgets are squeezed but surely we can not let this type of behaviour continue without having some form of effective and actionable punishment clearly visible to potential offenders.
I have also written to Bucks council as I am aware that affected area may cross county border lines but again this type of problem needs to be addressed across counties in a coordinated manner. I have found it impossible to speak to anyone in a position of authority without getting lost down rabbit holes on respective council websites and I think that this is one of the reasons why people ‘accept’ the status quo because of the bureaucracy involved in raising any kind of complaint.
I do hope that this problem can be passed to the right person and that some action can me taken.
