Sunken surface across the road due to poor reinstatement, perhaps after pipe laying

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 12:45, Thursday 25 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5490022.

The road has sunk about 2cm. The width is roughly 30cm across the whole road. It is on the Portsmouth road very close to the Mill Lane exit.

  • This probably is Highways UK responsibility but whoever is responsible it should have been fixed. Very, very disappointing.

  • I have received no response. No explanation as to why the various poorly reinstated parts have not been attended to. At least Surrey Highways always offer an explanation clearly Highways England do not bother!!! Dreadful!
