Lights out

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 20:22, Tue 23 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5482516.

Coming off the M1 northbound the traffic lights to go M62 east bound towards pontefract are not working and so traffic going round the round about is causing near crashes with traffic filtering around the roundabout as the lights are out

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting us via FixMyStreet on 23 January 2024 to report the lights on the Lofthouse M1/M62 interchange. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to contact us about this.

We're in the process of works to replace the traffic signals at the Lofthouse roundabout, the works started on 8 January and are due to last for approximately 12 weeks.

However, due to some unexpected adverse weather conditions, damage has been caused to the temporary connections and controller configuration for the signals. We’ve attended and rectified these on 22 January and 23 January, and we’ll continue to monitor the signals closely to ensure we can address any problems in future.
