All traffic lights not working on roundabout

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5482100.

Due to the lights not working at junction 31 M1 with A57 traffic is backing up right back onto the M18 this evening at 16.20. This is the second evening not working. Due to traffic following from the A57 not willing to let traffic of the M1 slip road there will be an accident at some point.

  • Thank you for contacting us via FixMyStreet on 23 January 2024 about the traffic signals on the M1, junction 31. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to contact us about this matter.

    We can advise following an incident to the traffic signal pole at the nearside of the roundabout, both set of signals suffered an outage. The pole has now been isolated and the lights are now in working order.

    We’re in the process of scheduling a permanent repair as soon as possible.
