Filter lane lights to turn right off the A30 causing confusion to drivers going straight on

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 21:44, Sat 20 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5469117.

Today driving from Staines towards Clockhouse Lane roundabout the lughts at the Bulldog Junction were red. When the right turn filter lane lights turned green the car in the adjacent lane started driving straight on - luckily they realised straight on was still red and stopped. When driving back from Clockhouse Lane roundabout towards Staines an hour later I witnessed the same thing with the right hand filter lane towards Ashford hospital turned green. This time the car in the adjacent lane drove straight on and did not stop and there was nearly an accident with oncoming turning traffic towards Ashford Town/Station.

Updates

  • I came to report the same issue. This is still ongoing, and the issue is exacerbated by the fact that the red light on the London Road exit towards Heathrow isn't working.
