Awful Road Surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5447999.

Such an uneven road surface, literally get thrown about in the car driving at 57mph. It's almost un-driveable to be honest. Even have warning signs now that the road is bumpy and yet nothing is being done to improve the road surface to save people tyres and suspension

  • Thank you for your report of 15 January 2024 about the road surface conditions on the A180. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to contact us about this.

    We can advise we’ve planned extensive work on the A180 in both directions. These are expected to take place this year, although we remain unable at present, to confirm a date when this will be commence. However, in the meantime the uneven road board signs are in place to highlight the issue to motorists.

    We're hopeful these works will improve the safety and driving experience of road users travelling along this section of the Strategic Road Network.
