Lethal road surface due to loose stones.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 19:34, Sat 13 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5438952.

The A56 South bound junction with Sandy Lane. This problem was reported way back in November 2023 and has still not been made safe. Loose stones and debris have been washed down below the cattle grid into the mouth of this junction. Loose stones are also gathered in the cross over holding point in the central reservation at this junction. It is treacherous to all motorists trying to alight the main carriageway at these two points as the loose stones cause vehicles to skid and loose control. The debris and loose stones need urgently removing from these two points before a serious incident occurs.
