The trees are completely blocking the view of the traffic in photo two.

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 13:58, Thursday 11 January 2024

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5429670.

I am a Driving Examiner at Gosforth Test Centre. We use this road on test and as the sign is not visible we are unable to use this route as a signs route when doing independent driving on test. Also other drivers exiting from the A19 from the west would have the same problem. This sign has been covered for over a year. Can this be rectified please.

  • The sign between the two roundabouts north bound is completely covered by foliage and is unreadable. The marker appears to be on the slip road wheee the problem is on Dudley lane. We use signs on driving tests for candidate to follow. We now have to give advice on which exit to take, which defeats the independent part of the driving test. Impacting on road safety not only for candidates but all other Road users. The photo I have attached is taken from Google. It is impossible to see it from the left side of the road on approach.
