Streetlights have not been working for a while as you approach Eastbound on the M58 to the Orrell interchange.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about the lighting on the M58 Eastbound.

    We have switched lighting off on this stretch of road to support the Department of Transport’s aim to reduce carbon emissions. These roads have been carefully chosen with all road users safety considered. We are still using road lighting where it is needed, however, we are confident that we can use less of it without a significant impact on safety. Please be assured we'll continue to monitor this location.
