Broken surface
Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 19:50, Wed 20 December 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5342867.
The A23 had recently been resurfaced including this slip road onto A23 southbound. I reported it in September and again in December on the national highways site only to be told that the surface was ok. I have therefore taken photos which show that it was faulty from the time it's was laid to the present day. It needs fixing

After twice starting there was no problem, National highways says they will monitor. They miss the point that it has been like this since it was laid in September. They should be getting the contractor back to repair this shoddy work.

National highways day they will monitor it. Instead they should recall the contractors and have the job done properly. Disgrace

Following rain and freezing conditions, the broken surface is deepening. Gvnt. Highways, for that is who had it resurfaced and who didn't get the contractors back when notified of the obvious failing, now have a large area of failure on their hands. Meanwhile cars joining the A23 have to dodge the holes.

It's been partially fixed!. One of the two holes has been repaired with a drop of tarmac. The other is waiting to get bigger. A stitch in time..........

One of the holes has had some tarmac thrown loosely in it not even sealing the hole correctly. Other faults remain untouched
