Blocked/ sow running culvert

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 10:51, Tue 19 December 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5336512.

The drain which runs east - west on the A52 south side opposite the Esso garage. The drain is heavily overgrown and has approx 4 culverts between granby lane and the main culvert under the A52 , all of which are backed up with debris , the level in the ditch is high as a result but where it reaches the under road culvert the level of the pipes are too high to effectively drain the ditch and are not big enough to cope with the amount of debris . The main culvert is split east west with the western side being bigger and lower but with nowhere near the quantity of water on that side. On tuesday 12th december there was heavy rain which caused the A52 to flood near the garage , this could be avoided in future with the ditch cleared and culvert pipe lowered/ increased in size .
