Terrible road surface

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5304103.

The road surface is so even it is becoming un-drivable. There are craters of potholes ams the surface is just awful. The you get the boards telling you to keep left unless overtaking. What a joke you can't keep left as the road is so bloody terrie

  • Thank you for your email of 11 December 2023 about the poor condition of the A180. We understand your concerns and appreciate you taking the time to contact us about the issue.

    We’ve checked and can confirm a full reconstruction of the road does sit in our concrete roads forward programme for future Road Investment Periods, however other areas of the Strategic Road Network have been shown to have a greater technical need and so have been prioritised for full reconstruction.

    We do however have plans to deliver life extending works which includes the replacement of localised concrete bays and concrete repairs on the A180 between Barnetby and Brocklesby. We’re hopeful this scheme can be delivered during the current Roads Investment Strategy (RIS) period in 2024/25, pending further survey and development work. We’re provisionally looking at August 2024.
