Recent issue with Sequencing and Timing of Traffic Lights causing major tailbacks eastbound on A259 Trunk Road

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 18:51, Tue 5 December 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5285944.

The timing and sequencing of the traffic lights appears to have changed (perhaps due to current night resurfacing works) causing major tailbacks on A259 Trunk Road in one direction Eastbound. The traffic lights change quickly for Eastbound traffic, only allowing a few cars through. The priority appears to be given to westbound cars at the junction, turning into Brooklands Road and cars emerging from Brooklands Road. This issue is causing 15 minute delays or more.
