A27 Grove lodge

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 19:43, Sat 2 December 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5275809.

My complaint is about the gridlock being caused at rush hour by the road works on the A27 grove lodge, Worthing. I have had the use this category as all other categories do not allow you to continue with any details!

How can you allow this work to be unmanned for 2 days now with no signs of work and the temporary lights are causing delays of at least 2 miles at rush hour. The road was dug overnight on the 29 / 30 th Nov. This is causing traffic to find alternative routes and clog up these routes too.

The lights are also causing me issues accessing my drive as I cannot come off when the traffic is going in one direction and have to quickly exit when there is a change of lights.

Please issues fines to companies that just dig up the road and don't complete in a timely way. There are also road works in Queen Street that has closed the road and no visible signs of work, Do you supervise work being performed on the network by contractors?
