At the junction of Victoria Street and Eign Street pedestrian button not working

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 13:49, Tue 28 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5261351.

Crossing from South to North on to the Central Reservation the button on the pedestrian crossing box is not working. If the button is not pushed then you cannot proceed across the road. It is a very dangerous crossing and surely some automatic system should be in place as this is often happening.

Updates

  • This problem has occurred before and is dangerous because in order to cross the road you have no choice but to take a risk when you think it might be safe to cross the road. It really needs to be fixed ASAP. I have reported this same problem in the past.
