40 sign has fallen off its temporary Aframe support on northbound on slip road

Reported via desktop in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 08:02, Tue 28 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5258753.

The sign has blown down Hurtmore Road and is still lying in the verge, along with an old Aframe. Previously you have directed me to report this to SCC but they won’t move the sign because it is the responsibility of National Highways. There are still three temporary signs where the repair of the original would be far better and safer. This junction could hardly be less safe.

Updates

  • This temporary 40 sign has now fallen off and is lying on the side of the northbound slip road. Please can you get it restored, even better get the original sign repaired and d9 away with the three temporary signs, as well as the previous temporary 40 sign which is still lying in the verge near the underpass.

  • Today the wind has blown down one of the temporary signs, so it is lying on the carriageway. Please can you deal with this, preferably by repairing the original sign and removing all the temporary ones. Some are on the verge and I’ve counted five A frames there as well.
