Pothole/breakdown of road surface

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 20:15, Fri 24 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5250784.

Between joining A14 westbound from the A1303 heading towards Quy roundabout, some large potholes and breaking down of road surfaces, especially along the tarmac joint , where nearside and offside lanes meet in the middle. Numerous potholes along this stretch, which in my opinion are potentially dangerous to motorcycles as appear deep. Potholes have been in situ for at least 2-3 months, hoping they would have been inspected and repaired by now.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A14 at Bottisham. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
