Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5250491.

During heavy rain travelling south on the A500 to the Sideway Roundabout on the A50 I noticed almost all of the gullies on the left hand side were blocked with weeds growing out of them the water was building up half way across lane one and cars were driving over the middle encroaching into lane two to avoid driving through water

  • Thank you for making your report. We asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. They have raised work to unblock an aquamax drain at the start of the A50.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
