Sign knocked over, not visible

Reported via desktop in the Damage to Sign (NH) category by ELEANOR WALLACE at 09:52, Thu 23 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5244536.

The first 40mph sign had been knocked over, further signs indicated that the speed had been reduced from 70-40mph but for those who had not travelled this way before may be affected by the new speed cameras on that route. I am contacting as I was unaware until speaking with my partner once arriving at my destination that the speed reduction was a few hundred metres before the first camera (or what I believe was the first camera) and I am now worried that others will experience the same, resulting in a possible danger to the workers but also facing a fine. I am making myself quite panicked incase I have been caught as although I reduced my speed when I saw the sign in front of the camera, I was unaware of the speed reduction before as it also didn't show up on Waze, the tool I use to navigate. Please could this issue be resolved so that others do not worry the same, and to ensure the safety of the workers. I am a young female who has not been driving long and for others in similar situations, this can be quite scary.
