Dangerous foot path

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 16:20, Tue 21 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5238345.

Unable to walk safely down this footpath as a pedestrian as this pavement is overgrown with weeds on both side of the pavement reducing the space to walk safely especially at this time of the year, when it gets dark early and the visibility on this fast road is reduced. Please can you get someone to cut back the kerblines and weeds covering the pavement to make it the right width and safe to walk down. This would be appreciated

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. Our inspection team visited this location recently to assess the issue. A job has been created on our cyclic programme to clear vegetation in both directions. Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people. Kind regards National Highways
