Pothole turned into sunken lane, left hand side towards Manchester

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 22:40, Mon 20 November 2023

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5235077.

This is the second time I have reported this and cases keep getting closed! What started as a pothole has caused the whole of the first lane (left hand lane) on the A556 towards Manchester to sink. It is just down from Avec Cookers. I live in the White House opposite the road and the noise/vibrations caused by cars travelling over this sunken part of road is horrendous. Having driven over it several times it also causes vehicles to judder. Please can this be looked at asap and not just closed like the rest of the cases. Thank you.
