White Lines not visible by eye or by vehicle lane guidance

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5220243.

Lane markings at the junction are very hard to see when the road is wet. Automatic lane guidance does not help and cars routinely drift out of lane. Very dangerous It is repeated along the concrete stretch but worse with low sun.

  • I’d like to thank you for bringing this issue to our attention and I apologise confusion these road markings are causing. We really appreciate the information and feedback we receive, and value the perspective you bring as someone who uses our network. I’m pleased to report that we do have plans to address this issue in the coming year. An overlay scheme will be replacing the existing concrete with tarmac to address the driving experience and the difficulty with visibility due to the glare from the sun.
