Phasing of traffic lights not working
Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 11:29, Thu 16 November 2023
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5219024.
The phasing of the traffic lights at the shard bridge junction is incorrect which now means not enough traffic can exit the bridge from hambleton, this is causing excessive tailbacks along the bridge causing significant delays. The traffic is tailing back all the way into the village during all hours of the day.

Only allowing 3 cars at a time through. 35 minutes to get across bridge. For what should be a 12 minute journey to Thornton. Is taking much longer. Cars coming from the left are breaching the red lights and blocking the exit. Because the ones a bit further up are also out of sync, this is only allowing 3 to 5 max through. You should have put a yellow crosshatch on the road.
