No work taken place for two and a half years

Reported via desktop in the No workers present (NH) category anonymously at 23:33, Tuesday 14 November 2023

FixMyStreet ref: 5212811.

A1307 between Huntingdon and Godmanchester - roadworks have been abandoned, but the 40mph limit has stayed in place on a dual-carriageway. I have not seen a single worker doing anything for two and a half years. Is the plan to conveniently forget about it until the road is handed over to the county council?

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning the 40 mph speed limit on the A1307.

The speed limit is in place because the central reservation barrier is in need of repair. Once those repairs have been completed the speed limit will be removed.

The local authority are responsible for the barrier repairs. You should direct any question regarding timescales for these repairs to them.

    Kind regards
