A614 above the motorway. The expansion joints have broken in 2 joints and the carriageway at the sides of the joints are starting to erode

    Thank you for your report of 12 November 2023 about the condition of the bridge at junction 36 of the M62. We understand your concerns and appreciate the time you’ve taken to get in touch with us about this.

    After investigating your enquiry, we can advise that bridges are monitored routinely as part of daily patrols. Therefore, we’ve already scheduled in works to investigate and repair this. These works are scheduled for the 18 December 2023, when the Ouse Bridge works allow us room to complete these works. We’re continuing to monitor this bridge, and if it deteriorates further, we’ll be looking to prioritise the works and bring this date forward.

    We’re hopeful that in rectifying this problem it improves the experience of motorists using this section of our network.
